![]() If you are looking for a restaurant with great service, large food portions, and an overall fun experience, then Biscuits and Hogs is the spot to be! The famously over-sized food portions were delicious, and were big enough to take home leftovers for later. We were there during their happy hour, which included discounted drinks and appetizers that made the bill much more affordable for five college students. Although she did not come back for a while to take our food orders due to serving other customers, we were entertained from the lively environment of the restaurant which included TV’s with sports games on, friendly customers and employees, and lighting that fit the ambience of the restaurant perfectly. Our server greeted us shortly after we were seated and took our drink orders. We expected our wait time to be lengthy, but they seated our group of five very quickly. We walked in and immediately noticed it was very busy per usual. Me and a couple of my buddies recently visited Biscuits and Hogs on a Sunday Afternoon. Which I would gladly pay for those size tacos IF the tortillas matched the quality of the fillings.I would really like to see if they took a bit more time and upped their tortillas, double up and fry them, that would be a great taco. They are understaffed right now, but if it's not super busy, that isn't an issue.īiscuit & Hogs 2032 E Overland Rd #130, Meridian I needed very little to add some good heat.Price wise, my boss grabbed the bill (Thanks Brian!) but from what I saw they were probably about $3.50 to $4 a taco. I showed for some salsa Verde and she brought it a hot (temperature) freshly made salsa, very orange, guessing tomatillos and habanero as the base. Especially with that crazy hot habanero salsa. If only they had a couple of fresh tortillas grilled hot and with a touch of oil or lard, that would have made these tacos REALLY good. And as mentioned above, all of t them were packed. They only downside was the single tortilla straight from the bag. The carnitas was really good, crispy and meaty. The asada wasn't crazy seasoned or juicy, but it wasn't dry and WAs definitely not just a skirt steak taco. The waitress did ask if I wanted shredded chicken or grilled, I took grilled. The chicken was good, not dry, seasoned, diced a little smaller than I usually see it but that's not good or bad. ![]() ![]() ![]() They only had three at the time, it might have been because it was early in the day but there was only Carnitas, Asada, and Pollo. But let me start with the good. All the carne was plentiful and good. It's not a specialty of theirs, but they have a LOT of potential, the only thing that was lacking was the tortillas. Whether you’re sipping on their signature juices or indulging in their classic burgers, it’s a place that knows how to satisfy your taste buds. Instead, I highly recommend trying their double char burger or BBQ bacon burger these choices never disappoint. In summary, Habit Burger is a modern hotspot where fresh flavors meet a fantastic atmosphere. Plus, Habit Burger boasts some of the best onion rings I’ve ever tasted they’re a definite highlight. While the Korean sandwich might seem tempting, the combination of kimchi, pulled pork, and beef patty feels a bit overwhelming. The strawberry cucumber and lime lemonade are always a safe bet, and the exotic second lemonade option adds a touch of adventure to your meal.My go-to choice is the Santa Barbara char burger – the toasted bread and creamy guacamole create a perfect harmony of flavors.
